A non-surgical treatment, microneedling creates tiny channels in your epidermis to stimulate the production of collagen and increas cell turnover. Microneedling is a method to treat different skin conditions such as:

  • wrinkles
  • fine lines
  • acne scarring
  • acne
  • alopecia
  • sun spots
  • stretchmarks
  • evens out skin tones

  • tightens skin
  • improves texture

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT?

Microneedling is virtually a pain-free experience. If it is necessary a topical anesthetic can be applied to numb the area. We perform the microneedling treatment with a hand held digital device using disposable microneedles to pierce the skin at very specific therapeutic depths. The treatment includes the entire face and neck. After the procedure we use Red Light Therapy. This speeds up the healing process by carrying more oxygen and nutrients to the skin surface. You can expect little or no post-procedure downtime. No need to schedule days off work to recover. Post-procedure you may notice slight redness of skin. This is a normal reaction of the body and will subside within an hour. Some redness could last up to 24 hours.
The skin will immediately feel tight. After about a week the outer layer of skin begines to flake off, revealing a fresh and glowing new you underneath. It is recommended that you stay out of the sun and avoid strenuous exercise for 2 weeks following treatment. Additionally, it is recommended that hot shower, baths, hot-tubs and saunas are avoided for about two weeks.

HOW MANY TREATMENT OF MICRONEEDLING WILL I NEED?

Microneedling can be safely repeated every 6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. The number of treatments is dependent upon what condition the skin is in. We recommend to start with 3 treatments. For scar reduction an average of 4-6 treatments are recommemded. You will see results after the very first appointment.

WHO IS NOT A GOOD MICRONEEDLING CANDIDATE?

Though most people can be treated the following issues are contraindicated for the microneedling procedure.

  • History of Keloid issues
  • Hemophilia Skin diseases
  • Eczema Allergies
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • History of cold sores

It is important to realize that microneedling is not a quick fix, as it involves the growth of new skin. It can take several months for a person to see the full results of the procedure.
